Thanksgiving on the Spirit of Philadelphia 🚢🦃

Spirt of Philadelphia

I hope everyone had an amazing, food-filled Thanksgiving holiday. In the Thanksgiving Spirit [of Philadelphia] 😉, pun intended, I cruised along the Delaware River, and was able to dance off some of the million calories I gained over the holidays with the help of Spirit Cruises. I had a wonderful time aboard the Spirit and am so thankful to the amazing staff that made this Thanksgiving even more special. I haven’t been on the Spirit of Philadelphia in years, so when I was invited to partake in one of their holiday cruises I was elated. I have fond memories from school and family events on The Spirit as a kid, and it was great as an adult to experience it in a different way.

So if you’re like me and didn’t know that the Spirit of Philadelphia hosts Holiday Cruises, well now you do and FYI they are awesome! For those of you who have never been on one of their cruises let me give a little more background. The Spirit of Philadelphia cruises year-round and offers lunch, dinner, moonlight and holiday cruises, plus other specialty cruises as well. Included in your ticket is: a two or three-hour cruise on the Delaware River with incredible views of Philly’s skyline; buffet with freshly prepared entrees, salads and desserts, unlimited coffee, hot tea, iced tea and water; beautiful views of the Philadelphia skyline with landmarks like the Naval Shipyard, Ben Franklin Bridge, Battleship New Jersey, and more; and onboard entertainment with DJ, dance floor, and games.

As for my first Thanksgiving on the Spirit, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. For Thanksgiving the Spirit of Philadelphia offers two dinner cruises. I opted for the earlier one that begins boarding at 2:30pm and cruises from 3pm-5pm. There’s nothing like celebrating a special occasion or holiday by taking in the amazing sights that Philadelphia has to offer. We had a buffet spread of all the Thanksgiving favorites from turkey and stuffing, to mashed potatoes, bread pudding, and everything in between. The best part about it was that I didn’t have to worry about cooking or cleaning up afterwards. Also, the service on the Spirit of Philadelphia was superb! We had such a sweet and attentive waitress that made sure our cruise experience went smoothly. While it was a little chilly outside that day, the upper-deck views were not to be missed. We were able to take get some fantastic shots outside. I’m so excited to cruise again on the Spirit of Philadelphia in the near future. If you’re looking for something to do especially during the holiday season definitely check out a cruise on the Spirit of Philadelphia. You can find their December Holiday Cruises here.

Stay tuned for more adventures…
xoxo Mimi
